We're thrilled to announce our ongoing relationship with the team at Coca-Cola and their agency partners, Wieden + Kennedy on the launch of unlockcoke.com.
Unlock Coke is a place for fans to explore the exciting breadth of snackable, social content created by Coca-Cola including videos, announcements, Tweets, campaign info and updates all in a modular, always-changing, always-fresh portal.
Over the last year, Odopod has been working with Coca-Cola to introduce a more contemporary design language in digital channels-one that encompasses visual design and interaction design as well as content and social strategy. Unlock Coke represents the first platform that takes on this new brand expression, strategy and design.
We look forward to continue working with this iconic brand and their partners to create playful, social experiences across multiple platforms.
2011 was a huge year for Odopod. The biggest news of all was our merger with Nurun, the largest independent digital agency in the world. Together, Odopod and Nurun have an impressive combination of reach, depth, and talent that will enable us to do even more innovative work for our clients around the world. For more on the merger, read Tim Barber's article, Odopod and Nurun: Our Next Big Move.
Last year, we launched some of our most exciting work to date. Among the highlights, we redefined luxury online for IWC, establishing direct relationships with its fans. We helped EA revolutionize the way people buy, play and share games with Origin. With Tesla Motors, we created a series of interactive kiosks for their innovative new retail strategy. We also continued producing great work for Sony Electronics, Google, Plum Organics, and more.
Of course, we had some fun too. On Hack Days, we shut down our office and prototyped our own ideas. With the FWATV, we experimented with live video and Processing to give people a fun look inside our office. We shared some inside details about the culture of Odopod, we played a bit of dodgeball, and we won Advertising Age's Small Agency of the Year, West - what a year!
All in all, we couldn't be more proud of the people we've hired (and we're hiring more), the things we've done, and the projects we've launched (including the ones we can't share) during this amazing year.
Here's a round up of this year's work:
International Watch Company (IWC) :: Origin from EA :: EA.com :: Sony PIIQ
Ford Sync :: Plum Organics Quest for Yum! :: Tesla Retail Kiosks
Sony Tablet S :: Google for Veterans :: Plum Organics Contest :: Sony Personal 3D Viewer
We're excited to share the second installment of our Babies for Yum! campaign for Plum Organics — the Quest for Yum! Odopod conceived and produced this whimsical video in which our baby hero explores the world of Yuck and Yum in search of the tastiest food.
As with our our caption contest on Facebook, the program is highly-targeted to modern moms and designed to thrive on the "authentic" and social web.
Our media strategy is focused on mom-centric blogs and causal online gaming sites where our target audience consumes, shares and engages with content.
We're extremely proud to announce the launch of the newly redesigned ea.com. The new site is minimal, clean and focused, allowing EA's huge library of game content to truly shine.
Each game has a customizable and scalable page template within the unified EA platform. These templates accommodate a wide variety of content needs specific to each title, allowing game pages to feel unique to the game's core attributes. All the must know info on game titles have a home on these pages and includes as many stories, videos, pics, trailers and news items as each game has to offer.
We are thrilled to have worked with the talented people at EA on the new site and look forward to continuing our work together on all things EA.
Our partnership with Sony continues with a new launch for PIIQ - Sony's slick, new brand of headphones. The site features a multitude of finely tuned interactive details including rollover animations, subtle movements and navigational elements.
The full product lineup gives visitors huge, sexy product images, sharing tools, sweet product pairings, and the ability to add comments with Facebook integration. The PIIQ Team pages offer up inside details of new members, their gear and stats and the news section keeps fans up-to-date on all things PIIQ.
There's quite a bit of cool stuff to check out so take a look at the new Sony PIIQ and let us know what you think.
Maybe you live really close to Santana Row in San Jose. Maybe you live very far away from Santana Row in San Jose. Either way, you can now experience the Tesla Retail Store Kiosks right from your desktop.
Launched on Teslamotors.com today, the Design Studio allows site visitors to customize and configure Tesla Roadster models to buy or fantasize about buying. You can trick-out all the bits you'd expect - paint colors, accents, interior options, wheels, hood, entertainment - and check out how much your customizations will cost, all in this cross-device friendly, HTML5 interface. That means it looks just as sexy on your iPad as it does on your desktop.
“The Design Studio’s goal is to personalize the Tesla experience,” said George Blankenship, Tesla’s VP of Sales and Ownership Experience. “It’s the most advanced configurator any automaker has come up with, letting you choose exactly what you want, look at it from every angle, and see it in the wild.”
Tesla’s internal web team collaborated with digital marketing agency Odopod to build advanced features into the Design Studio, including:
-Seamless integration between platforms, allowing users who build their cars online to call up saved designs on other devices or in the showroom.
-Graphics that push the boundaries of realism, giving users an authentic experience.
-Single-screen editing, allowing users to mix and match features without progressing through a number of screens or needing to backtrack.
-Unique interior and exterior pairing, so that users can see how the interior of their car would look from the outside and vice versa.
-An extensible platform that will allow Model S to be added to the Design Studio.
Tesla’s Design Studio is consistent with the company’s new retail strategy that launched with the Santana Row showroom. Reinventing the car-buying experience, this strategy focuses on digital interactivity and educating prospective customers about Tesla’s advanced electric powertrain technology and vehicle engineering.
Check it out and let us know what you think.
