AIGA's 2009 Fall Gala was full of fun surprises as members of the Bay Area design community were invited to create a custom skate deck as the main centerpiece of the event. Designers and design studios alike contributed both elegantly simple and extravagantly complex designs making the gallery of boards beautifully versatile and impressively creative. From pieces tricked out with video to pieces intricately carved in fine detail, there was an awesome skate deck for everyone.

We went with elegantly simple with a "digital twist" route, incorporating a Nike Plus device into the board to communicate the future of digital technology. We had a lot of fun dreaming up ideas and even more fun seeing all the other designs come to life at the event.
