It’s all downhill from here

I got my new NikeID kicks today, fresh from Qingdao China.

Subtly is not on the menu in the world of NikeID so I give you the Zesty Italians… one of the most obnoxious combinations I could manage without looking like something Punky Brewster would wear. So far the Shox make it feel like I’m constantly walking downhill, which in essence makes me feel faster. I’ll leave more comments about the quality later.

Geoff McFetridge’s hand-drawn animation for The Whitest Boy Alive.

Super bad ass!

Thanks JD

Casa Framework Project

The first external project (that I know of at least) to use the Casa Framework is this gravis timeline. For those of you who don’t know, Casa is the brainchild of Aaron. He has been working on it for years and earlier this year (with the help of some other contributers, including Mike C.), Aaron released it as open source code for everyone to freely use. Congratulations on this milestone Aaron.

Alpha Geek: Start-page showdown

A good run down of the major Start-page competitors.
Alpha Geek

polyvore outfit creator

Create new outfits with clothing & accessories from all over the internet.  Nice interface with drag and drop, item resizing and each item links to its shop page.  So easy and fun. Mostly for girls I think.

ActionScript 3 Loves Audio

image

As we start exploring the development workflow around the new Flex 2 framework, ActionScript3, and Flash Player 9’s capabilities, I decided to do a little exploring in my spare time and check out some of the new features of the language. What came of an afternoon’s tinkering was a basic audio spectrum analyzer. That’s right, Flash loves audio analysis now. There’s even some source code to play with.
