After the success of our touchscreen work for Honda, George P. Johnson Experience Marketing approached us with a new challenge: work with them on an installation that would communicate Honda's commitment to clean, fuel efficient vehicles. We were happy to collaborate.
We decided a delightful interface would go a long way toward telling this story. Our design invited users to touch big, vibrant clean droplets floating upward, falling in reverse through an environment evocative of nature. By popping the bubbles with your fingers, you reveal each vehicle's MPG information. We also introduced some mystery bubbles-- when popped they revealed bursts of natural joy: fish, birds and plant life.
This final product brought together several of the things we're most interested in -- Flash, AIR, sustainability, and touchscreen interface design. Most satisfying of all: seeing visitors hands-on with the kiosk on the showroom floor, fully-engaged, happily popping away.
The animations, sound design, and simple touch interface makes the application super playful and fun to use.
