Nike was about to launch the latest model of their striker's boot, the Mercurial Vapor. It's a pricey, high-end product aimed at the most serious and competitive players. They wear these boots as a badge of status. Nike wanted to tap into this aura of exclusivity.

In reply, we developed the Mercurial Vapor Squad, a member's-only Facebook app that lets these deadly strikers broadcast out their current stats to their network. As they score more assists, goals and wins, Nike pros, such as C. Ronaldo and Ronaldinho, offer encouragement, tips and trophies.
