Nike decided to make the most innovative skateboarding shoes ever to meet grip tape. The problem is that skateboarders are naturally suspicious of big companies. So, rather than dropping an epic ad campaign, Nike chose to let their shoes do the convincing.
Nike asked Odopod to create NikeSkateboarding.com. Together, we imagined a place that would showcase the products alongside the work of young artists and designers who had been raised on skateboarding.
The theme of the site is PUSH - it's about pushing innovation, technology, style, skateboarding, and self. Skaters and sneaker freaks can look inside the shoes, learn about the team riders, sign up to have a ramp built in their backyard, and check out the artwork that infuses every crack and crevice of the site.
