Meet The PlayStations

Sony makes two awesome game machines: the super-portable PSP and the ultra-powerful PS3. But the console descriptions at PlayStation.com just weren't doing these machines justice. Sony asked Odopod to redesign these presentations into something more compelling and reflective of the products themselves.

We knew that we needed to clearly communicate what makes these systems so amazing. And we needed to do it in a way that felt as slick and well-crafted as the hardware itself.

So we reorganized information that was spread across several static, text-heavy pages and streamlined it into a dynamic Flash site for each system, making it significantly easier for visitors to learn more about the products.

To tell the hardware stories, we created high-quality videos in-house, featuring the latest games, movies and product features (and, to keep on budget, more than a few Odopod wannabe-actor employees). And since the PSP and PS3 are targeted to two distinctly different consumers, we ensured that the videos were oriented in a way that would ring true for each.

The result? An experience that makes learning about PSP and PS3 a whole lot more like playing them.
