Helmet Required

Over one billion cans of Red Bull are sold each year. That success was built by supporting radical athletes, orchestrating the often unconventional events where they compete and inviting fans to witness the spectacle.

Red Bull wanted to give fans more. They wanted to put them at the center of the action with the athletes. The only catch: it had to be done through a Web browser.

Working with cross-media production company Science+Fiction, Odopod developed the first in a series of state-of-the-art online media experiences -- Red Bull Copilot: Supermoto.

The site captures motorcycle-racing legend Jeremy McGrath in action on the Supermoto track at Laguna Seca. Using new Web multimedia technologies, it puts the user in control of multiple video streams and sound tracks as well as RPM, speed and biometric data feeds.

With Flash video, you are not at the mercy of a certain user interface, you are not held captive by a specific browser, struggling against the nuances of DHTML, or buried with C++. You have total control over the experience.
