SlingGuide is a core piece of the new EchoStar 922 HD Sling-loaded receiver/DVR. SlingGuide for Web lets you control, manage and watch your video content, anywhere you have a web-connected browser.

It enables users to control and manage their settings for recording programs and series using their mouse and keyboard - a task that can be difficult and frustrating using a traditional TV remote control.

In addition, it integrates a SlingPlayer accessible within the web browser, allowing viewers to watch live and recorded content right at their PC.

SlingGuide for the iPhone takes the portability of the application even further. Browse your recordings and check out live programming. Then watch either, instantly, right on your iPhone's screen.

It’s also a full-featured DVR programming and management application. Select a program or series, record it, delete: anything you can do in your living room, you can do from your phone.

One more benefit: the software turns your iPhone into a super-capable remote control for your DVR.

SlingGuide was introduced to the public at CES 2009 and promptly won the coveted “Best of Category” award for Home Video. It is currently in the final stages of development and will be available later this Spring.
